Jerrod Cole Williams of Tuttle and Boy Scout Troop 4338 has earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Williams, the son of Bobby and Sandy Williams, is a senior at Tuttle High School. He has held the offices of senior patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, troop guide, patrol leader, and is a trained Junior Leader. He earned 25 merit badges and is certified as a BSA lifeguard and BSA scuba diver.
For his Eagle Scout project, Williams erected a 30-foot flag pole, laid a new paver surface surrounding the flag pole, and landscaped three flower beds in front of the new location for the City of Tuttle’s Municipal Building.
Williams joined Cub Scout Pack 4338 at Tuttle Elementary School in the first grade as a Tiger Scout. He is the troops ninth Eagle Scout this year.
Williams is a member of the Tuttle High School wrestling team and was a 2009 state qualifier. He is a member of the 2008 and 2009 State Wrestling Academic Championship Team, 2009 4A State Wrestling Championship Team, and 2009 4A Regional Championship Team. He has lettered in wrestling for four years, track for one year and cross country for one year. He has been a member of the True Oak Fellowship Baptist Church were his is active in the youth group. He plans to attend college and pursue a career as a Paramedic/EMT/Firefighter.
Williams’ court of honor will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at the Tuttle Opera House.
Jeremy Dallas Gracey of Tuttle and Boy Scout Troop 4338 has earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Gracey, the son of Tony and Darla Gracey, is a senior at Tuttle High School. He has held the offices of assistant patrol leader, troop guide, patrol leader, and quartermaster.
He earned 22 merit badges and is certified as a BSA lifeguard and BSA scuba diver. For his Eagle Scout project, Gracey designed and planted new landscaping in four flowerbeds at his church, Southwest Church of Christ. The project enabled his church to meet the city building code requirements as well as beautifying the church facility.
Gracey joined Cub Scout Pack 4338 at Tuttle Elementary School in the first grade as a Tiger Scout. He is the troops seventh Eagle Scout this year.
Gracey is a member of the Tuttle High School wrestling team. He is a member of the 2008 and 2009 State Wrestling Academic Championship Team, 2009 4A State Wrestling Championship Team, and 2009 4A Regional Championship Team. He has lettered in wrestling for four years, football one year and track one year. He has been a life long member of the Southwest Church of Christ where he is active in his youth group. He plans to attend college and pursue a career as a Marine Biologist.
Gracey’s court of honor will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at the Tuttle Opera House.
