The award winning Mrs. U.S. Beauties Pageant Organization is proud to announce that Mrs. Christy Whitaker of Fort Worth, Texas has been crowned Mrs. Texas 2010.
Whitaker is the former Christy Chambers, a 1997 Tuttle High School graduate.
Mrs. Whitaker will represent Texas when she competes for the national title July 11, 2010 in Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Whitaker is a current member of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Board member of the Tarrant County Youth Advocate Program and volunteers for several non-profit organizations throughout her community. She has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Oklahoma and is currently employed by The Seed Company in Arlington, Texas. Whitaker is married to SFC Lane Whitaker of the U.S. Army.
The U. S. Beauties Pageant Organization is looked upon as just not a "beauty pageant" but a pageant of substance, of women who are making strides and continue to do so as they challenge with everyday life of working to survive, raising families and contributing to society in a capacity which they hold dear to their hearts.

Williams asks Council for tax break
Jeff Williams, owner of William’s Discount Grocery, addressed the Tuttle City Council on Monday about offering incentives to build a new store.
Williams discussed options like a one-cent sales tax over the life of the note which he said would cost the city “zero dollars.” -
