Tuttle Boy's Cross Country Team is headed to state competition after winning fifth place at the 4A West Regional Competition on Saturday in Norman.
Only the top seven teams who placed at each of the Cross Country Regionals will advance to the State Competition. The West Regional teamwinners are first place Sante Fe South, second place Madil, third place Elgin, fourth place Weatherford, fifth placeTuttle, sixth place Byng, and seventh place Cache. Tiger athletes who ran the 3.125 mile course were Senior Chad Foster who placed fifth with a time of 17:43, Junior Christian Zauner who placed 20th with a time of 18:12, Senior Jerrod Williams whoplaced 36th with a time of 19:06, and Senior Colton Roberts who placed 46th with a time of 19:27, along with Junior Tyler Mitchell, Jacob McGuire and Stephen Whitaker.
The State Cross Country competition will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at Mitch Park in Edmond.
