Tuttle’s Boys Cross Country Team placed 6th overall at the 4A State Cross Country Competition on Saturday at Mitch Park in Edmond. This was the first cross country team to represent Tuttle in state competition more than two decades.
Tuttle was led by three-time state qualifier Chad Foster who placed 6th overall with a time of 17:07.21. This year’s finish proved to be his best course time which was only 37 seconds behind this year’s champion.
Christian Zauner placed 19th with a time of 17:44.21 and will be a dominating force for Tuttle next year. Jerrod Williams finished with a time of 19:02.80, Colton Roberts finished with a time of 19:15.58 and Tyler Mitchell finished with at time of 20:44.18, all securing places for Tuttle to bring home top 10 honors. Jacob McGuire and Stephen Whitaker were also among the seven who competed for Tuttle, with Dylan Gore as an alternate.
The top 10 teams were 10th place Manford with 270 points; 9th place Byng with 245 points; 8th place Cache with 221 points; 7th place Piedmont with 197 points; 6th place Tuttle with 195 points; 5th place Madil with 158 points; 4th place Weatherford with 148 points, 3rd place Elgin with 125 points; 2nd place Metro Christian with 56 points and Sante Fe South was awarded the 4A State Cross Country Champions with 51 points.
